The blast ripped through houses and buildings in the vicinity and caused windowpanes to break, people living in the area to panic and fire and emergency services to run away from home. The injured men, who were all Tamilians, were badly burned and rushed to a nearby private hospital for emergency medical treatment. The exact reason for the explosions is not yet known, and Attibele police are investigating the incident.

The explosions were so powerful as to shatter glass windows of nearby residential properties and other buildings, according to information. The explosions, even at an industrial plant level, raised concerns among residents, many of whom were worried for the safety of people living close by the industrial facility.

Chemical manufacturing units make products and processes that require high safety controls, so an explosion would affect workers and neighbours of the factory and the community. The extent of the damage inside the factory and whether there were any equipment or production units damaged was not clear at this time from what was reported so far. At this point in time, authorities will investigate the site and determine the sequence of events, the extent of damage and whether any hazardous materials were involved.

The three injured men came from Tamil Nadu and had serious burn injuries, especially to their faces and hands, Health Department spokesman David R. Vazirapalli said. They were taken to a private hospital for treatment and were sent to the hospital for further treatment. We are not sure what their identities, ages and current condition are. The hospital’s latest medical update and the condition of the injured workers will be important details to confirm once more information becomes available.

The incident has also stirred up anger among residents, who reported that a similar explosion had occurred at the factory in the past. Local people have questioned whether management of the company took any preventative measures after the earlier incident. They worry about industrial accidents again and the risk to workers and the rest of the town.

But the allegations of past accidents, and the possible lapses in safety procedures, must be considered by the authorities before the blame can be placed on anyone. An investigation will have to be done into the factory’s safety methods, maintenance records, the emergency response procedures and their compliance with industrial and environmental standards. If violations are found, the authorities will have to decide what corrective or legal action is needed.

Following the explosions, Attibele police station personnel were in the area and went to check the site out, they said. Fire and emergency services personnel also came out and tried to alleviate the situation. The police have made a case and are investigating the incident. The precise cause of the explosions is not fully known and there is no official reason for the explosions to have taken place - whether it was because of technical failure, chemical reaction, equipment failure or something else.

The investigators will have to investigate the affected part of the site to gather evidence and hear from workers and company representatives. Any technical assessment of the materials and equipment involved will be important in determining what led to the explosions and whether further safety measures need to be implemented at any time.

Lake Chemicals Private Limited is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical chemicals and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and exports to more than 65 countries. So it is an industrial safety issue that is being taken up in its facility, because of the chemical manufacturing industry, and so the safety measures are necessary and such facilities need to have proper safety controls and worker training, equipment and emergency response arrangements in place to address this issue.

The immediate focus now after the explosions is the treatment of the injured workers, the investigation of what is causing it and the risk to the residents of the neighbourhood. The police and the company will update on the cause of the explosions, the condition of the injured men and the extent of the damage.
