The impact of the collision has led to serious destruction of the teenagers where the car was completely crashed and damaged which has further led to the death of one boy and the other injured.
His friends have been taken immediately to the hospital for treatment where one of the boys is in critical condition.
Police are further investigating regarding the accident including the high-speed driving.
Parents Were Away When Teenagers Went for a Drive
According to police during the incident the parents of the boy were far away from him and the 16-year-old went with his friends in the car at high speed and crashed into the lorry.
This incident gives a deeper encroachment for the carelessness of the parents and the lack of knowledge about driving on the national highway.
The names of the teenagers are Sujan , Aditya and Ram Tej Reddy all the 3 are minors. Authorities have also not released any personal details about the victims.
The lorry involved in the crash was damaged and the car also suffered extensive damage because of the force of the impact. A senior police officer confirmed the damage to both vehicles as part of the initial information gathered following the accident.
A 15-year-old boy, identified as Sujan, died in a tragic road accident after leaving home telling his mother that he was going to play cricket. Two other boys travelling with him were injured when the car they were in rammed into the rear of a lorry transporting compressed natural gas (CNG) on National Highway 48. According to reports, Sujan went to his friend Aditya’s house after leaving home. Another person, identified as Ram Teja Reddy, was also present. The three reportedly decided to go for a joyride while Aditya’s parents were away. Aditya took the keys to the Hyundai Creta parked at his house, and the three boys drove towards Anagodu village. The accident occurred while they were returning, when the car allegedly went out of control and crashed into the rear of the lorry. Sujan died on the spot. Aditya sustained serious injuries, while the third boy escaped with minor injuries. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Davanagere North Traffic Police Station. The collision was reportedly captured by a CCTV camera installed in the lorry. The front portion of the car was severely damaged in the impact. Sujan’s parents were devastated after learning about the accident and rushed to the scene. They were reportedly left shattered on seeing their son’s condition. Efforts to take him to the hospital proved futile. The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of minors accessing and driving vehicles without adult supervision. Parents are urged to keep vehicle keys out of children’s reach and ensure that minors do not drive without a valid licence and proper supervision. Police are investigating the incident.

Police Register Case, Investigation Underway
Police registered the case under section 106 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the local traffic police station.
It is still a matter of more investigation to establish what was actually happening (how the events occurred and why the collision occurred).
The incident once more highlighted the danger of reckless driving and the need for road safety, especially on highways where vehicles travel at high speeds. A collision of a car with a heavy vehicle can be catastrophic, especially when the smaller vehicle is moving at high speed.
