The film is based on the true story of the staff of Cama and Albless Hospital who put themselves in harm’s way to save patients during the terrorist siege in Mumbai. There are a lot of glowing reviews for its trailer, as well as great sentiment and an emotional storyline in there.

Kangana steps into another powerful position

The buzz about Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata began with Kangana’s first-look poster, which showed her as a nurse who was in a mangalsutra and hospital identification card. The image immediately aroused curiosity among fans who wanted to see the actress play another strong and emotionally charged character.

Kangana must have a strong presence in the trailer, and we feel like she’s a central figure in a story based on resilience and heroism.

A Story set in the Terror of 26/11

The trailer takes viewers back to the night of November 26, 2008, when synchronised terrorist attacks shook Mumbai. While much of the world knows about the attacks for the damage they did to hotels and railway stations, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata focuses on the events that took place inside Cama Hospital.

As panic spreads through the city, doctors, nurses and hospital staff are put into unimaginable situations. These ordinary people saved vulnerable patients, including pregnant women and newborn babies, during the crisis, and the risk was just outside the hospital walls.

Rather than just violence, the narrative addresses duty, compassion and courage; how everyday heroes took on that role in a national tragedy.

Ensemble Cast and Direction

Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the film features an excellent ensemble cast with Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra and Zahid Khan.

Manoj Tapadia has written and directed the film and described it as more than a terror attack drama.

Honouring Unsung Heroes

Manoj Tapadia said Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is a story of courage over fear and compassion overcoming the chaos. As the filmmaker explains, the movie is about ordinary women, in particular, who made extraordinary life-and-death choices when the situation demanded it.

The filmmakers hope that the film will serve as a tribute to the unsung heroes whose bravery often gets ignored in the larger narratives of the attack.

The film is produced by Pen Studios and presented by Jayantilal Gada in partnership with Manikarnika Films, Paramhans Creations, Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata will be released on June 12, 2026, to audiences in India and is a story of sacrifice, duty and fortitude.
