Tollywood had a grand start yesterday when Victory Venkatesh and Nandamuri Kalyanram got together for the ceremonial launch of the film, tentatively named #VenkyAnil5 or #NKRAR2. The pooja ceremony began at 9 AM IST on June 18, 2026, in Hyderabad, when director Anil Ravipudi reunited with Venkatesh for the fifth time and Kalyanram for the second time.
The event was hosted by producers Shine Screens who shared a clapperboard photo of a Saraswati idol, symbolizing auspicious beginnings. Composer G.V. Prakash Kumar made an appearance as he was the music director in a very funny video.
The launch also had the likes of the movie’s leading actresses in the city’s biggest stars and the launch also featured the actresses. Keerthy Suresh also made an appearance at the event, while Krithi Shetty was there, and Kaurav Suresh was in the audience; there was also Keerthy Suresh there at the launch too, with her and Krithi Shetty being present so fans were keen to know if she has been made it in the casting. Their presence at the ceremony added drama and excitement to the ceremony, and so was the atmosphere of the ceremony and the audience couldn’t wait for the final cast.
When shooting will begin on June 21 or 22, the producers plan a Sankranti 2027 release date. Aimed at a high‑octane festival comedy, the project is expected to combine Ravipudi’s trademark humor with mass entertainment and be one of the most eagerly awaited films of the upcoming season.
Venkatesh and Ravipudi's collaboration has been one of the best crowd-pleasing movies and now with Kalyanram joining the team and the crowd-pleasing comedy in this movie, expectations are high. Industry folks think that it could be a very big box office draw during the holiday season with its star power and comedy appeal.
VenkyAnil5 is a film to watch. With an amazing cast, an accomplished director and a Christmas release date, the film is already generating buzz in Tollywood. And now it is time to get to work.
