Report of gunfire called the emergency service personnel. He was a 15-year-old boy who was found with severe gunshot wounds and brought to a nearby hospital. Doctors continued working on him, but he died just after getting there. Police have refused to share the identity of the victim and have reached out to related family members.

The whole life of an individual, a youth who is so valuable to the people that live in our community. People in those places have expressed regret and anger that another person was lost. The two suspects were subsequently arrested and the authorities acted quickly following speculation they participated in the shooting.

The suspects’ ages and motivations have not been fully identified but officials say they are in custody and being investigated. Officials were trying to figure out what happened just to go into the shooting. First reports suggested that maybe they did so while angry or by getting into a fight with neighbors.

But authorities are not shutting down the other possibilities. So far in the process, we’re gathering video footage, testimony from witnesses, and forensic evidence to determine what happened inside at least. Local government has condemned the violence and pledged to move quickly to put it right.

In the park area, police protection forces, such as those employed at some sites, have ensured that the park remains safe, keeping incidents from escalating into something violent. And the shooting has, yet again, positioned the national scene for gun violence against minors that has never disappeared, in the United States. In public spaces that should be safe havens parks, for example they are more surprising.

Promote prevention; community leaders and advocacy organizations call for more youth outreach programs, increased tracking and plans to reduce access to guns in children's hands to keep them safe. “We need to do whatever we can to fight back against and attack the root cause of such violence." As the investigation is ongoing, authorities are inviting anyone who shares details on the incident to testify and provide assistance. And now the community grieves over a youth whose life has been wasted — and demands of justice rise.
