The blast, along the famed Moallem Boulevard, destroyed an eight-story building with the destruction of two stories and smashed its neighbours' shops and businesses’ glass doors. Rescue teams and firefighters were already present, though Iran's state media outlets announced the specific cause of the explosion was not clear.
Casualties and Damage Report
Initial reports from the official IRNA news agency indicate many people were injured and have been transported toward local hospitals. Fortunately, by Saturday evening, no fatalities have been officially confirmed.

Authorities have said that while the cause is “unclear,” there’s currently no indication of a targeted assassination or foreign strike. Local reports also indicate that a gas leak may have been the cause but is not officially confirmed by the crisis management personnel.
