Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) co-founder Amir Hamza, who is critically ill and injured, is a Lahore-based militant. The incident has revived security concerns once more and has drawn substantial interest among intelligence and law enforcement officials.

Those attacks on any of those individuals who belong to these groups may indeed fulfill another purpose.

And we have put in place the most immediate security operations in Lahore, in the at-risk areas, of all places. It’s also been in conversation with intelligence agencies to assess whether the shooting might go further than any one individual or relate to other investigations.
