According to preliminary information, Prashanth left his home at the early hours of the day and was driving his motorcycle to Ramanagara from his home. As he was passing through the road near Hunasanahalli village, a huge tree that had been weakened by heavy rain overnight was uprooted and collapsed onto the road. The tree fell directly on the motorcycle, and the young rider was not given time for any action or escape from it.

The impact of the falling tree was so severe that Prashanth suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. Residents and passersby rushed to the scene after hearing the loud crash, but the young man had already succumbed to his injuries. The sudden nature of the incident left witnesses shocked and devastated.

The continuous rainfall in the area during the previous night may have loosened the soil around the tree’s roots, causing it to collapse unexpectedly. Heavy rains have hit parts of Karnataka recently, and there are fears about fallen trees and road and residential hazards as well.

The tragedy has sent Prashanth's family into grief. His death sent his parents and relatives into grief as they came to the accident site. Looking at the lifeless body of the young man who was killed in a tragic and unexpected accident, his family was devastated and grief-stricken, family members said. Seeing the emotional scenes moved many residents at the scene.

Ramanagara Rural Police Station officials visited the accident spot soon after receiving information about the incident. The police examined the scene, documented the place and began the legal procedure. They took the body to the district hospital for post-mortem examination in the initial stage.

Police have registered a case as part of their investigation and continue to investigate the incident. Initial findings point to the tree being uprooted because of heavy rainfall, but officials will now investigate whether other factors were involved in the accident.

The incident has once more brought out the dangers of old and weak trees during the monsoon season. Residents have urged local authorities to identify and remove dangerous trees near roads to prevent a similar tragedy in the future. As Ramanagara grieves the loss of a young life, the incident is a painful reminder of the unpredictable dangers that can accompany severe weather conditions.
