Ravi, a native of Chikkanayakanahalli, was reportedly working in a private company near Jigani in the Anekal subdivision. According to the complaint, he first married a woman named Pankaja in January 2024. However, his behavior allegedly caused distress in the marriage from an early stage.

The first wife has accused Ravi of making inappropriate comments about other women and pressuring her to bring dowry and even invite her friends home for questionable reasons. Troubled by his conduct, she reportedly endured emotional distress during the early months of marriage.

The situation worsened when she became pregnant. During this period, Ravi allegedly began searching for another bride, falsely presenting himself as unmarried. With the support of his family, he reportedly visited multiple places in search of a new match.

In October 2024, Ravi got engaged to another woman without revealing his existing marriage. When the first wife came to know about the engagement, she informed the second woman’s family about his deception. This led to a confrontation, during which the family of the engaged woman allegedly confronted and assaulted Ravi.

Despite the exposure, Ravi is accused of continuing his deceptive actions. In December 2025, while his first wife was away for childbirth, he allegedly went ahead and married another woman, again hiding his previous marriage. This second marriage further intensified the situation.

When the first wife learned about the second marriage, she, along with her family members, reportedly confronted Ravi at his residence. A heated argument ensued, which allegedly turned physical, with Ravi being assaulted by the first wife and her relatives.

Following these events, a formal complaint was filed at the Jigani Police Station, accusing Ravi of cheating, bigamy, and harassment. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation, as the accused is currently absconding.

Authorities are investigating the role of Ravi’s family members as well, as they are suspected of supporting and facilitating his actions. Legal experts note that such cases fall under serious criminal offenses, including cheating and bigamy, which carry significant legal consequences in India.

The incident has sparked outrage locally, highlighting issues related to trust, exploitation, and the misuse of marriage as a means of deception. Police have assured that strict action will be taken once the accused is apprehended.

As the investigation continues, officials are urging anyone with information about Ravi’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the case.
