The purchase is expected to woo homebuyers, property investors and commercial property seekers who would want to own land located in developed parts of the city. According to the statement released by BDA, it is conducting an online auction registration process which started on the date of 11th day of May 2023 and lasts until the 22nd day of May 2023 until 5 PM.

It has planned the live e-auction bidding to be on May 25 and May 26 in phases. The sites are in some of the large BDA-developed layouts that have excellent infrastructure, connectivity and interest in real estate, the authority said. Units to be sold will be for residential and commercial units, as well as for dwellings, along with businesses with commercial property development plans. The features in this auction include: The prime layouts are:

  • Anjanapura Township.
  • Arkavathi Layout.
  • Banashankari 6th Stage.
  • Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.
  • Sir M. Visvesvaraya Layout

The districts are among the fastest-growing residential areas in Bengaluru and have experienced an influx of demand propelled by expanding metro connectivity, road infrastructure and proximity to major employment hubs.

BDA has informed its customers that all the sites have been auctioned on an “as is, where is” basis. Bidders, on consideration of signing the site, should check all forms necessary to sign the site before bidding even begins. One of the e-auction's bright points is the transparency of the process.

As everything will be online, the applicants will have the option to bid from there anytime at the bid table without having to go to the BDA offices. It said the digital system would have an anti-bias effect. It added that all sites being presented for auction had a legally clear title and are not subject to contest or encroachment.

The reassurance must be reassuring to buyers, who are in regular legal battles, and land ownership conflicts are the mainstay of Bengaluru’s property market. Demand for the plots in Bengaluru, for instance, continues to grow quickly, and the auction comes at a time when many believe those developments are at an all-time high.

As the prices of apartments in the city soar, many buyers are now keen on independent site ownership of well-established layouts. Places like Banashankari, Anjanapura and Arkavathi have gotten a superb deal as there are more facilities and there is even greater value for life ahead.

Landmark market experts envisage a healthy bid in the BDA auction from both end-users and investors. Commercial plots specifically will be much sought-after as new ventures build up in the suburbs, they expect. Follow the guidelines on the portal for terms, conditions and auction methods.

Application at this time needs to be registered before the paperwork is submitted to help the applicants become eligible for bids. The BDA e-auction is one of the more coveted opportunities for the long-term real estate investor in Bengaluru, with premium spots, legal clarity, along with an online clean process and an equitable bid.
