A shocking incident of fratricide occurred in Bengaluru's Banashankari area, where a verbal spat between two brothers escalated into a fatal fight, leading to the death of the elder brother.
The tragic event took place around 5:00 AM this morning in Yarabh Nagar, under the jurisdiction of the Banashankari Police Station. Both the deceased, Mujahid (the elder brother), and the accused, Musheb (the younger brother), were working as Maulvis at a local Madrassa in Yarabh Nagar.
The root of the conflict was an argument over Mujahid allegedly abusing their mother. Musheb, reportedly angered by his brother's words, harbored resentment. The two brothers had slept in the Madrassa the previous night.
Fight Escalates to Stabbing
The confrontation began early this morning at their home. The argument quickly turned violent, and the brothers allegedly attacked each other using a knife found in the house.
The altercation spilled out of the house and onto the street. Mujahid sustained severe stab wounds and died shortly after due to profuse bleeding. Musheb was also injured during the scuffle and has been admitted to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The Banashankari Police Station has registered a case and is investigating the incident.
