It was one of the biggest drug busts of early 2026 the operation, which occurred in the northern outskirts of the city, resulted in the seizure of thousands of high-quality ecstasy tablets from illicit sellers.

The Arrest and Seizure

Following an earlier tip-off, a special team from the CCB raided a residential property in Bagalur. A police officer captured a woman called Subhashini in the course of the raid. She was shown a large hoard of MDMA (Ecstasy) pills hidden inside the house when investigators searched her premises.

The CCB confiscated 3,000 doses of Ecstasy tablets according to official reports from police. The tablets are estimated to fetch around ₹2 crore in market value. The bulk of the seizure is indicative that the accused was no ordinary street seller but instead a major distributor involved with a much broader network that supplied illegal substances to the city’s youth and party circuits.

The Bagalur Connection as Modus Operandi

The suspect, Subhashini, had allegedly converted her home in Bagalur into a makeshift warehouse for the narcotics. Preliminary investigations suggest that the pills came from international suppliers through the "dark web" or were smuggled interstate to evade detection.

The CCB is investigating how large quantities of synthetic drugs came to a residential area and who these key recipients turned out to be. Police suspect that these "party drugs" were intended for usage at prestigious gatherings and private events throughout Bengaluru and its nearby districts.

The Battle Against Synthetic Drugs

Ecstasy (MDMA) is a powerful synthetic drug that causes a combination of hallucinogenic and stimulant effects in its user. A revolution has occurred lately in Bengaluru in which traditional narcotics (ganja, cocaine) have given way to expensive synthetic drugs (MDMA, LSD and cocaine).

The Bengaluru City Police have become especially vigilant in logistics hubs and other residential hideouts of peddlers. Subhashini: The Case Case is registered through CCB Police Station under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. She is in police custody and officials are interrogating her to determine the “kingpins” behind this multi-crore racket.
