The Bengaluru vicinity has in another shocking instance of irresponsible driving, driven by a cab driver who, apparently intoxicated, brought down a number of vehicles on the gridlocked BTM Signal neighborhood.
It’s a question that once again begs the question of road safety and drunk driving in big urban Indian cities. The private cab driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and hit two motorcycles, a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, and crashed into the wall of a building on the premises of a TVS showroom at the time the commission of the crime took place.
Its sequence went so quickly that bystanders in the road were horrified and jolted on the street and the traffic in this area. Whatever could be the likelihood that the driver escaped his car unscathed even under the worst circumstances of the crash. But two bikers were injured and needed medical attention immediately. Their condition has not been officially announced, but officials said that they are being treated.
Officers from Bengaluru arrived shortly after the car crash and arrested the driver. Alcohol consumption suspected of impacting the crash. Investigators will perform more tests and charge people based on those tests, they found. Residents and commuters in the city have become angry, with some raising their hands to express anguish that drunken driving incidents worsened in the city.

“It is extremely dangerous what people are doing now!” he said, adding that careless behavior of this kind is a lot worse on Bengaluru’s roads which already are overcrowded with heavy traffic on the roads and overcrowded lanes; the chances for fatal incidents are far higher.
Safety analysts do stress the dangers of getting behind the wheel, and of driving the vehicle under the influence to innocent victims and motorists also. And even minor mistakes of judgment can wreak havoc the victims and their families can be injured, killed or traumatized long after the wreck. And they say, about civil service, they are still very clear on that, reminding residents not to drink, not to drive their own vehicles; they simply take public transport or ride-hailing cars instead. If you have standardized vehicle checks, stricter law enforcement controlling vehicle operations, and general public campaigns, they are crucial steps forward. An unfortunate accident in a car accident is an example.
It can have longer-enduring impacts in the entire social world and suggests that drunk driving or having fallen under the wheel is never to be classified as a road crash.
