The residents of Kadabagere in Bengaluru are on high alert following the confirmed sighting of a leopard in the village area. The presence of the wild cat has been captured on two separate CCTV cameras, confirming its nocturnal movements.
Nighttime Sighting and Incident
The leopard was sighted late last night near the house of a resident identified as Lorry Ramanna. More alarmingly, the CCTV footage captured the leopard successfully carrying away a puppy, underscoring the immediate danger posed to domestic animals and pets.
Following the confirmed sighting and the unfortunate incident, the Kadabagere Gram Panchayat has issued an official warning to all villagers.
Advisory to Residents
The Gram Panchayat is urging all residents to exercise extreme caution, especially during early morning and late evening hours. They have specifically requested villagers to keep a close watch on their pets (domestic animals) and young children, advising them not to let them roam outside unsupervised.
The forest department is expected to be informed and an operation to track and capture the leopard is anticipated to be launched soon to ensure the safety of the Kadabagere community.
