Where and When?

The Rameshwaram Cafe will be opening its first Mumbai outlet in Ghatkopar (East), a place replete with the colourful vegetarian culture.

  • Opening Date: Sunday, February 1, 2026.
  • Location: Located right near the Ghatkopar Metro Station, providing easy access to commuters from all over the city.

What's on the Menu?

Mumbaikars can expect the same quality, genuine experience that made the cafe such a favorite in Bengaluru. Their signature “Ghee-heavy” dishes will be featured on the Mumbai menu:

  • The Well-known Ghee Podi Idli: melt-in-mouth soft idlis soaked in spicy gun powder and drenched in pure desi ghee.
  • Open Butter Masala Dosa: A thick, crispy dosa topped with a dollop of fresh white butter.
  • Vada & Sambar: Its crunch and the perfectly composed, authentic Karnataka-style sambar are famous.
  • Filter Coffee: Served in traditional brass tumblers, the ultimate end for a heavy South Indian breakfast.

Why the Hype?

Divya Raghavendra Rao and Raghavendra Rao founded The Rameshwaram Cafe, which pioneered a combination of traditional recipes with an energetic, fast-paced service model to revolutionize the dining environment in South India. Although on a higher pricing compared to local Udipi restaurants, the brand has experienced unprecedented success, frequently filled with queues leading right down the road from its restaurant.

The move into Mumbai is one component of a general strategy worldwide where brands are already present in Dubai and Singapore. Filling Mumbai’s South Indian food lovers’ long-standing "Anna" stalls, Rameshwaram Cafe introduces an innovative premium model that would be Bengaluru's soul in Mumbai’s heart.

Pro tip: There will be huge crowds in the first week. If you hope to visit on opening day, get your foot in the door before 8:00 AM to beat the legendary queues!
