Bengaluru Traffic Diversions Near Freedom Park Due to Protest – Check Alternate Routes

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has announced temporary traffic diversions around Freedom Park in Bengaluru following a protest scheduled in the area. Authorities said heavy movement of people and vehicles is expected along Seshadri Road and nearby routes, which could lead to significant traffic congestion.

To manage the situation and ensure smooth movement of traffic, police have restricted vehicle entry on several key roads surrounding Freedom Park. According to officials, restrictions will apply from Shanthala Junction and Khod Circle towards Anand Rao Flyover, Old JDS Office Cross, and Seshadri Road leading up to Freedom Park.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the restricted stretch and use alternate routes until the protest concludes.

Alternate Routes Suggested by Police

Traffic authorities have recommended several diversion routes to reduce congestion around the protest venue.

From Mysore Bank towards Chalukya Circle:

Drivers are advised to travel via KG Road, Mysore Bank Junction, Sagar Junction, KG Junction, Elite Junction, TB Road, KFM, Rajiv Gandhi Circle, Swastik Circle, Nehru Circle, Race Course Flyover, and Race Course Road.

From Chalukya Circle towards Mysore Bank:

Motorists should take Chalukya Circle, LRD Junction, Raj Bhavan Road, Infantry Road, and Indian Express Junction to reach their destination.

From Kalidasa Road and Kanakadasa Junction towards Freedom Park:

Vehicles should take a right turn at Kanakadasa Junction towards Sagar Junction instead of heading directly toward Freedom Park.

From Maurya Subbanna Junction towards Freedom Park:

Drivers are advised to take a right turn from Subbanna Junction toward Anand Rao Circle as an alternative route.

Slow Traffic Towards Tin Factory

In a separate update, the Bengaluru Traffic Police also informed that slow-moving traffic has been reported near Devasandra Market. A vehicle reportedly broke down on the road, causing congestion for vehicles heading toward Tin Factory.

Officials shared the update through their social media platform and urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly and expect delays in the affected stretch.

Advisory for Commuters

Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with traffic police personnel and follow the diversions to prevent gridlocks in central Bengaluru. Commuters are also encouraged to check live traffic updates before traveling through the affected areas.

The temporary restrictions are expected to remain in place until the protest near Freedom Park concludes and traffic conditions return to normal.
