A shocking incident has been reported from the Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagar district, where a local Congress youth leader was stabbed by another individual. The incident took place today (December 3) in Theeramballi village.
The victim has been identified as Sunil, a youth leader affiliated with the Congress party in the area. The assailant, identified as a fellow villager named Rajanna, allegedly attacked Sunil with a knife.
The Cause: A Minor Dispute Escalates Violently
According to initial reports from the police, the incident was not motivated by political rivalry. Instead, the confrontation began over a petty or trivial matter between the two individuals. The verbal argument quickly escalated, leading Rajanna to lose his temper and stab Sunil with a knife.
Following the assault, the youth leader suffered significant bleeding and was rushed by local residents and family members to the Taluk Hospital for immediate treatment. Reports indicate that Sunil is currently stable and recovering.
Police Case Filed and Investigation Underway
A case has been officially registered against the accused, Rajanna, at the Agar-Mamballi Police Station based on the complaint filed by the victim's side. Police have visited the scene of the crime to conduct an inspection and are now actively investigating the exact nature of the minor dispute that led to the violent assault.
Due to the attack on a local Congress functionary, a slight tension prevails in Theeramballi village. The police are currently working to apprehend the accused, Rajanna.
