A road accident in Gwalior’s state Gwalior has claimed five lives as well as four others, in which a fast-flowing SUV crushed into an auto-rickshaw in Gwalior carried a family of two people from outside a temple.
As police said, this happened late evening and the families were heading back home after prayers. Scorpio SUV being driven with a high speed just crashed into the auto, causing a lot of damage and the smaller vehicle to lose control as well.
They say a horror scene was present, when people walked by and the auto-rickshaw’s tyres had broken and passengers were trapped in the vehicle. Locals and neighbors rushed to the scene to help rescue those who had fallen and the victims were sent directly to neighboring hospitals to be treated.

Five people were confirmed dead, including members of the same family both at the scene and at hospital. The injured are being treated, though some of the folks are in critical condition.
Detectives filed a case and started an investigation of the accident. Preliminary findings are that speeding is the primary cause of the accident, but there’s also speculation related to negligence or driver impairment.
Authorities will identify all the victims and inform their families, according police reports said. The Scorpio driver is in police custody; more charges will probably be filed under the investigation."
In a tragic incident the dangers from reckless driving can be very well highlighted and stronger enforcement for traffic laws is necessary. Road accidents claim thousands of people every year in India and speeding is among the most severe causes.
