A quadruple murder in Rajasthan’s Jaipur neighborhood has left residents stunned after a woman and her three daughters were found dead in their home in Kardhani. The family’s elderly father reportedly noticed bloodstains inside the house and informed neighbours, who reported it to the police.
The deceased are Geeta Jha and her three daughters Nandini, Radhika and Gauri. All four have suffered severe head injuries, the police said. Police investigators are looking into whether the victims were attacked during their sleep.
According to the initial information, a cement block found inside the house might have been used as the weapon. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths and the sequence of events are yet to be established. Forensic teams have been investigating the scene and collecting evidence that could help investigators reconstruct what happened inside the house.
Husband Rahul Jha under police suspicion
Investigators have also raised suspicion about Geeta Jha’s husband, Rahul Jha, who was allegedly in the house around the time of the incident. Police are looking for him as part of their investigation.
What has particularly shocked investigators is the sequence of events involving Rahul on the morning of the killings. According to the information emerging from the investigation, he allegedly went out to fetch milk in the morning, returned home and made tea for his elderly father. He then took a bath before leaving the house.
At the same time, the bodies of his wife and three daughters were allegedly lying inside the residence.
The case was revealed when Rahul’s father reported bloodstains inside the house. He alerted neighbours who then contacted the police. After that, a police team arrived at the site and began examining the premises.
By then, however, Rahul was reportedly missing, and his mobile phone was also said to have been switched off. Police then launched a search to find him.

Police are looking at many possibilities as they try to determine what happened. Family conflict might have been a factor, investigators say, but other motives are also being studied.
