Tension was briefly raised in Manglaur, Uttarakhand, when a car was allegedly damaged by Kanwariyas after a road accident that happened in Uttarakhand. According to reports, the vehicle crashed into some Kanwar pilgrims and many people in the area were angry.
People said the incident took place during the Kanwar Yatra, where thousands of devotees are travelling on foot carrying holy water from the Ganga and taking it to the Lord Shiva temples. After the collision, some Kanwariyas surrounded the vehicle and damaged it using sticks and iron rods, they said.
In videos posted on social media, the car has broken windows and visible damage as people gathered around the scene. The clips have been widely shared on Facebook and other social media, and many users have expressed concern for road safety, crowd control, and handling of such incidents during large religious rallies.
