Karnataka: SSLC Hindi Exam Postponed to March 31 Due to Mahavir Jayanti

The SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exam schedule is also revised too for students. The third language (Hindi) exam, which was to be held on March 30, 2026 has been postponed by a day.

The decision was taken for Mahavir Jayanti celebrations on the basis of the main day, which is an important religious festival for masses across India. To spare students, they were put a different date, so the exam to March 31, 2026.

The third language (Hindi) paper shall remain to be done while every other examination date which has not been changed would still be used. Students will be well aware of the revised schedule at all times now and preparations are to take place to make it so.

Education officials have explained that postponement isn’t an accident, but a precaution, because it does not clash with public celebrations and the examination is planned throughout in time. Schools are expected to mention the update for their children as soon as possible to keep them well informed of the update.

SSLC exams are an important stage of a student’s education process, and even minor adjustments in the schedule can impact preparation strategies. Now in one day of preparation the Hindi exam is only a 1 day longer for students.
