A shocking video showing two individuals openly consuming alcohol inside a public transport bus belonging to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has gone viral across social media platforms. The incident, which highlights severe public misconduct, has drawn strong criticism from fellow passengers and the wider public.
The incident occurred on the KA09F4911 registered KSRTC bus, which belongs to the Hunsur depot. The bus was reportedly traveling from Mysore to Kushalnagar when the misbehavior took place around 8:45 PM at night.
Disregard for Public Service and Co-Passengers
The viral footage clearly shows two male passengers openly drinking liquor inside the moving bus, seemingly oblivious to the fact that they were in a public service vehicle surrounded by other commuters, including families. This blatant consumption of alcohol on public transport not only violates basic passenger decorum but also poses a safety concern and constitutes a public nuisance.
Passengers aboard the bus expressed severe dissatisfaction and irritation over the incident. Unable to tolerate the nuisance caused by the intoxicated individuals, some passengers took the decisive step of recording the act.

Demand for Strict Action
The person who recorded the video subsequently circulated it online, demanding strict and immediate action from the KSRTC authorities against the passengers involved. Commuters stressed that such gross indiscipline and lack of respect for public spaces cannot be overlooked, especially within a state-run transport system that is used by millions daily.
KSRTC officials are expected to investigate the matter using the bus registration number and details provided in the video to identify both the passengers and the conductor/driver on duty at the time, and ensure appropriate punitive measures are taken.
