After the successful "Ambaari" service at Mysuru, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has also recently started offering the London-style double-decker bus for Bengaluru. Three dedicated buses are already in service in the area in the "Garden City" to contribute to the development of local tourism and a visual view of the city’s history and the nearby landmarks!
Highlights on: Heritage Meets Luxury Bus
Aimed to offer a super high-quality sightseeing experience, the double-deck buses blended comfort and tech seamlessly.
- Capacity & Seating: There’s room for 44 passengers per bus. The lower deck is maximally air-conditioned with 24 luxury seats, and the open-top upper deck has 20 seats perfect for taking 360-degree shots of the skyline.
- Audio: Each bus comes ready with the best microphone and sound system.
The visitors will walk through the history of the landmarks with a guide or recorded audio explaining these historical locations.
The Circular Heritage Route
Its tour plans are quite well organised to travel within vital admin and cultural hubs of Bengaluru. It’s a journey to and from, as you’d say, the historic Ravindra Kalakshetra.

Ticket pricing and validity
By not only ensuring that the service is open to locals but also tourists, KSTDC:
- Ticket Price: ₹180 per person.
- Band: Passengers receive a wristband at the time of payment. All day, you travel anywhere on any of the three double-decker buses. Rules: The band is non-transferable. As soon as they rip the band or lose it, they can’t travel on it anymore, and you need to get a new one.
- Timing: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is on daily.
