The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of Twisha Sharma has been recommended by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, a move that is taking place in the wake of public response and calls for an open investigation.
Government officials of the state, however, said it was progressing to conduct an independent and wide-ranging investigation into the matter and that this was a major step.
