A tragic road accident claimed four young men’s lives after a private bus collided with a motorcycle in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district on Friday night. According to preliminary information, the private bus was travelling from Parbhani to Pune when it collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The identities of the deceased were not disclosed at press time as local officials were trying to inform family members and complete legal forms.
Police and emergency workers were on the scene shortly after getting information about the accident. The bodies of the victims were recovered and sent for post-mortem examination. Traffic on the highway was temporarily halted as rescue and investigation were carried out.
First indications are that the bus and motorcycle collided head-on, but investigators are examining whether any other factors could have contributed to the accident.
