The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has announced a planned power outage across several prominent residential and industrial zones in Mysuru on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
The interruption is necessary to facilitate the fourth quarterly maintenance works, pole shifting, and the installation of underground (UG) cabling in specific divisions. The power supply is expected to be disrupted between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, though restoration may vary based on the completion of work.
Affected Areas and Schedule
According to the latest circular from the Executive Engineer of the V.V. Mohalla and N.R. Mohalla divisions, the following areas will experience power cuts:
- V.V. Mohalla Division: Jayalakshmipuram, V.V. Puram, Gokulam 1st to 3rd Stages, Temple Road, and surrounding areas.
- Hootagalli & Vijayanagar Zones: Vijayanagar 3rd and 4th Stages, KHB Colony, Hootagalli Industrial Area, and Koorgalli.
- Central Zone: Parts of Devaraj Urs Road, Shivarampet, Sayyaji Rao Road, and surrounding commercial blocks.
- Rural/Suburban Pockets: Belawadi, Hinkal, and areas under the Yelwal Power Distribution Centre.
CESC Advisory to Consumers
CESC officials have requested the public to cooperate during this maintenance window, which is vital for ensuring a stable power supply during the peak winter months.
"These quarterly works are preventive measures to avoid unscheduled breakdowns. We aim to finish the technical upgrades by late afternoon to minimize inconvenience to domestic and commercial users," a CESC spokesperson stated.
