The issue began with a complaint filed with Ibrahimpatnam Police Station in Andhra Pradesh’s NTR district in November last year. The couple had collected huge sums of money from people looking to work and who wanted visa sponsorships in the UK, according to the complaint.

How the Alleged Fraud Took Place?

Shiva Kranthi Kumar, a resident of Kothur village in NTR district, who came into contact with Madhukar during his student days in London, said. Upon completion of his studies and return to India, Shiva approached Madhukar for help to return to the UK, renew his visa, get a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) for his wife, and get employment abroad.

According to the complaint, Madhukar assured him that all arrangements would be made through an entity called “Destiny Consultancy.” Talks were held with Shiva’s father, Mohan Rao, and a deal worth Rs. 15 lakh had been reached.

Shiva believed in this and transferred the requested amount into bank accounts provided by the accused in 2023.

Fake Sponsorship Certificate Allegation

The case turned serious when Shiva got a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) letter about two months after making the payment. He was suspicious of the sponsoring company, Aguard Solutions, he said.

According to the complaint, Shiva directly contacted the company’s owner, Faizal, who told him he had been outside the country for a long period and suggested that the document may not have been legitimately issued.

The complainant felt that the certificate was fake. After going to the accused and asking for a refund, Shiva claims that only Rs. 2 lakh has been returned to him. So he approached the police and registered a criminal case.

The FIR names Jagarlamudi Madhukar as Accused No. 1, Ramanandana as Accused No. 2, and Mohan Rao as Accused No. 3.

Allegations of Victims from Multiple States

But social media is full of speculation that the complainant may not be the only alleged victim. Unverified allegations circulating online suggest that people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, and other states may have also paid substantial amounts in exchange for promised UK employment opportunities.

Some social media users claimed that as much as Rs. 20 lakh has been collected from some aspirants. But such claims have not been independently verified by investigators.

No Response to Police Notices, High Court Petition Filed

According to reports, the accused have not responded to police notices issued in connection with the case. Meanwhile, they have approached the High Court to quash the FIR while the investigation takes place.

Legal proceedings and police inquiries are still ongoing, and authorities have not yet announced any conclusions.

Ramanandana Denies Wrongdoing

Ramanandana rejected the accusations through her YouTube channel and claimed that her family was being targeted through a deliberate misinformation campaign.

She says some people are using her family's name for financial gain and spreading false information from personal motives. Ramanandana said neither she nor her husband is in the business that deals with visa or immigration services, and she warned her followers not to fall victim to fraudulent schemes using her name.

Investigation Continues

The case has become one of the most talked-about influencer controversies in the Telugu-speaking states, drawing significant attention on social media. The allegations are serious but are still under investigation, and no court has determined the guilt or innocence of the accused.

Police investigators will be interviewing the complainants and the accused as the police investigation continues and the legal process goes on, and with any piece of evidence that can be gathered, the truth will be challenged, and the complaints and the accusations will be examined. The truth behind the allegations on Telugu social media will ultimately be uncovered.
