Police in Sonepat have arrested a woman, identified as Sangeeta, who has confessed to being a serial killer, murdering four children including her own six-year-old son. The shocking details emerged during the investigation into the disappearance and death of a minor girl in the area. Police officials have termed the accused a "psycho killer" due to her disturbing motivation: she allegedly killed some of the children because she felt they were "more beautiful than her."

The horrifying chain of events came to light recently when the body of a six-year-old girl, who had been reported missing, was found drowned in a water tank in the neighbourhood. As police began their investigation, suspicion fell upon Sangeeta, who is the victim's paternal aunt (Chikkamma). Upon her arrest and subsequent intense interrogation, the woman reportedly broke down and confessed not only to the murder of the minor girl but also to the previous killing of three other children.

A Pattern of Drowning and Concealment

During the questioning, the accused revealed a shocking pattern of murder:

  • Own Son's Murder: Her current confession includes the murder of her own six-year-old son last year, making him the fourth victim.
  • Previous Murders (2023): She admitted to killing two children in Sonepat in 2023. These children were also reportedly drowned in a water tank. Shockingly, the police have confirmed that no First Information Report (FIR) had been filed against her for these two murders until now.
  • Third Victim (August): In August of the previous year, she allegedly murdered another child in Sewa Gram.

The police have stated that the discovery of four murders, including her own son, carried out by the same woman, points towards her being a "psycho killer". The investigation is currently focused on officially registering FIRs for the previous three murders and establishing the exact timeline and motive behind each of the four killings. The case has sent a wave of fear and shock through the local community in Sonepat.
