We interrupt traffic and investigate further

The crash caused a huge gridlock on the busy Jodhpur-Barmer highway, and people were forced to park their cars for several kilometers in traffic. The officials were left to clear the rubble in order for traffic to move again, and it took them several hours to clear the debris with cranes. The Balotra authorities have picked up a case and now they are questioning the trailer driver.

Authorities are investigating overspeeding and negligence as the two primary causes of the crash. The complaints of local people regarding the safety regulations and driving hours of the private travel company itself are further increasing; and they are looking for a total investigation. The chief minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, expressed his deep condolences following the disaster and directed officials of the district to provide the best medical treatment for the survivors.
