Two strangers arrived in a car and discarded a giant iron box on an isolated stretch of road before fleeing the scene. This box drew attention to its contents by local residents passing it and alerting authorities of suspicious activity outside. Officers discovered a woman’s body hiding inside.

The scene was hastily sealed with police action and the body was taken off by truck to an autopsy to seek a cause of death, as well as to identify the deceased. The first indication seems that, relative to the way the body was handled and discarded, the crime must have been premeditated. Extensive investigation While conducting a search at Kaushambi, the police began to track down witnesses and gather descriptions from those in the area and have been able to scour the nearby footage seen through CCTV.

They have also been sifting through reports of missing persons from localities around the area and attempting to piece together the identity of the victim. The state’s move has also heightened fears around public safety and rising levels of brutality in the form of reports of crimes in portions of Uttar Pradesh. It was a community fearful, furious and demanding justice on the spot and aggressive crime policing. Everything the authorities had done to solve the case had been employed, officials say.

“We’re taking this very seriously as a criminal issue and everything we’re doing, every single lead,” said a senior officer. While it’s clear that the case is being reviewed, the results suggest vigilance, expanded law enforcement and collaboration with public safety authorities to prevent similar vile activities are critical.
