The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is currently available in three forms: Standard, Pro and Carbon. The price starts at ₹1.27 lakh and goes up to ₹1.41 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings are open and deliveries will begin on November 1, according to launch details.

The motorcycle is still a 163cc with 17 bhp and 14.6 Nm of torque. Hero MotoCorp says the bike can go from zero to 60 kmph in 4.4 seconds. The updated equipment list will make it more attractive to a cyclist looking for a motorcycle with the everyday, sporty and modern look and feel.

Here are five of the highpoints of the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.

1. Ride-by-Wire, Three Riding Modes and Cruise Control

The most prominent feature of the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a ride-by-wire throttle that provides 3 riding modes - Rain, Road and Sport. Each mode is designed to be a different throttle response and allow the rider to adjust the motorcycle on the fly to fit the riding conditions and personal taste.

Rain mode is aimed to be used when throttle response is smooth and Road mode is suited to regular riding. Sport mode is to make riding more responsive. Riders should ideally try all three modes in a test ride in order to see the difference in throttle behaviour.

Cruise control is another great addition. The feature can help maintain a certain speed on suitable stretches of road, reducing the need to keep the throttle running for long drives. This is a convenient feature not typically found on a motorcycle in this segment.

2. New TFT Display With Navigation and Smartphone Connectivity

The new motorcycle has a TFT instrument console that brings several riding and connectivity details together in one place. The display shows information such as the selected riding mode, gear position, shift advisory, cruise-control status, distance to empty and real-time fuel economy.

Bluetooth connectivity enhances the console's functionality such as call and message alerts, music control, phone battery information and turn-by-turn navigation. Those tools can help riders access selected smartphone information without having to check their phones over and over again.

But the system will be most dependent on how well it connects to a smartphone and how directly the information can be read in different lighting conditions. Buyers should check phone compatibility and screen readability during a dealership visit before making a booking decision.

3. Cybersharp Design With Updated LED Lighting

Hero MotoCorp has introduced its Cybersharp design language to give the Xtreme 160R 4V a more aggressive appearance. The motorcycle has redesigned tank shrouds, a muscular stance and a reshaped fuel tank to enhance knee grip.

The lighting package also gets attention. The Class D LED headlamp has an ambient light sensor that instantly switches the headlamp on, projector high beam, and H-shaped daytime running lights. The rear has an H-shaped LED taillamp, and turn indicators also utilize LED lighting.

That’s because the motorcycle will have a more distinctive look and the lighting technology will be contemporary. The changed tank shape and bodywork are also to benefit the rider’s interaction with the motorcycle.

4. Dual-Channel ABS and Improved Braking Equipment

Safety remains a crucial part of the new package. The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has a 276 mm front petal disc and 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel anti-lock braking system technology.

Dual-channel ABS helps prevent wheel lock-up during hard braking, especially when road grip is limited. Panic Brake Alert is also present on the motorcycle that alerts the following traffic when the rider applies the brakes immediately and forcefully.

Hero has also mentioned changes in the early maintenance schedule. The first oil change and tappet adjustment is to happen at 6,000 km and the customer will need to check the whole service schedule, warranty conditions and maintenance requirements with an authorised dealer before purchasing from them.

5. Three Variants, Adjustable Levers and Type-C Charging

The 2026 Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants with a price difference of ₹14,000 between the entry-level Standard and the top-spec Carbon version.

The Standard is priced at ₹1.27 lakh and the Pro is priced at ₹1.37 lakh. The Carbon is priced at ₹1.41 lakh and all prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The Pro costs ₹10,000 more than the Standard and Carbon is ₹14,000 more than the entry-level version.

The new motorcycle has a longer seat measuring 642.9 mm (16 mm longer than the previous model) with single-seat and split-seat configurations. The brake and clutch lever are five steps and the rider can choose the reach of the lever as they wish. A Type-C fast charger is also added for everyday use.

2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Engine and Price Overview

The motorcycle is still a 163cc engine, with 17 bhp and 14.6 Nm torque. Hero's 0-60 kmph acceleration time of 4.4 seconds is indicative of its responsiveness towards urban riding. True acceleration and fuel efficiency will be influenced by the situation, load and riding style.

With its three variants the new Xtreme 160R 4V will offer buyers the range of price points. The Standard can be used for the basic bike as well as the high level motorcycle and the higher level of bikes can be used for the additional gear and the styling. A prospective buyer should check the full list of features for each version before buying.

In all the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, the design of this motorcycle is a hybrid of new technologies, smartphone, and new look and braking technology within the 160cc market. The ride-by-wire, three modes and cruise control are the most notable aspects in the model. Bookings are still open and deliveries should start on November 1 so the bike will appeal to buyers looking for a sporty bike.
