The company's September performance is coming up just as it will see the most significant festive time in India, in which motorcycle and scooter demand is usually high. Suzuki Motorcycle India will enter the season with a wide range of commuter motorcycles, premium motorcycles, and scooters, and its export business will continue to drive sales growth.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Domestic Sales Rise 3%

Suzuki Motorcycle India’s domestic business had steady growth in September. The company sold around 1.09 lakh units in the Indian market in the month, up 3 per cent from 1.06 lakh units sold in September 2025.

Although the domestic growth rate was moderate, it is still substantial due to the higher base of last year, and the company is heading into the festive shopping season that could boost two-wheeler demand in different segments.

Motorcycles and scooters generally receive high interest in the festive period as consumers buy vehicles around big celebrations. Suzuki will be able to keep momentum for its existing product line and create new models and colour options for customers and special editions.

Exports Jump 41% In September

Exports were the largest contributors to Suzuki Motorcycle India's sales growth during September. It shipped 24,882 units to overseas markets, a 41 per cent jump compared to the 17,664 units exported in September 2025.

The sharp increase suggests that international shipments now make up a larger share of Suzuki Motorcycle India’s total monthly volume and contributed significantly to the company’s overall 8 percent year-on-year growth.

The importance of strong export growth for an automaker is that it allows production capacity to be tailored to meet multiple markets and is less dependent on demand from a single location. Suzuki Motorcycle India has also expanded its role in Suzuki’s global two-wheeler operation and is an important manufacturing base, with India still a major domestic market.

Spare Parts Revenue Hits Record High

Suzuki Motorcycle India also experienced a major milestone in the spare parts business in September. The company reported its highest monthly revenue from spare parts of INR 1,112 million.

The figure is 26 per cent higher than the INR 881 million in September 2025. The high performance is evidence of growing activity in the company's after-sales and parts business alongside vehicle sales.

Spare parts revenue is important for automotive companies because it is indicative of demand outside the initial purchase of a vehicle. With the number of Suzuki motorcycles and scooters on the road increasing, demand for replacement components as well as maintenance-related parts can also grow.

The record monthly figure therefore adds another positive aspect to Suzuki Motorcycle India's September performance. The company said growth during the month was helped by both domestic and export operations.

Gixxer Range Gets New Colour Options

Suzuki also updated its Gixxer motorcycle range with new colours. The changes are for the Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and Gixxer SF 250 FFV models.

The colour upgrades enable Suzuki to update its bike lineup without a significant change. Cosmetic updates can also help manufacturers maintain customers’ interest in old models if their customers are interested in new models and are still in the market for new ones.

The Gixxer family is still part of Suzuki's motorcycle portfolio in India, with standard street motorcycles as well as fully faired models. The 250cc motorcycles are also included, so that customers will get a higher level of performance than the smaller Gixxer models.

Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Priced At Rs 19.90 Lakh

Suzuki has also expanded its premium motorcycle offerings with the launch of the Hayabusa Special Edition in India. The special version is priced at Rs 19.90 lakh, ex-showroom, which is almost Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the standard Hayabusa.

The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition is mainly cosmetic and styling. It is finished in Pearl Vigor Blue and has different wheel finishes and a 3D Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank.

The motorcycle also has a Special Edition badge, anodised detailing on the muffler end and heat guard, and a single-seat cowl. These features give the flagship motorcycle a special appearance and help to reinforce its limited-edition character.

The Hayabusa remains a high-end motorcycle in Suzuki's portfolio in India. The Special Edition gives Suzuki another product for those who want something a little more special.

Festive Season Could Provide Further Sales Momentum

Suzuki Motorcycle India's September sales performance comes at a crucial time for the Indian two-wheeler market. As consumers get closer to the holidays and new motorcycles and scooters are coming out in the market, manufacturers will be looking to capitalise on this growth.

For Suzuki, the mix of steady domestic sales, extremely strong exports, and record spare parts sales is a positive start to the festive period. The company’s new Gixxer range and premium Hayabusa Special Edition also add to its product offering.

But the biggest takeaway from September is the 41 per cent growth in exports. Although domestic sales grew by 3 per cent, international shipments increased significantly, helping Suzuki Motorcycle India achieve an overall 8 per cent rise in sales.

If domestic demand increases during the festive season and export volumes stay strong, Suzuki Motorcycle India could continue to see balanced growth in its business. This would also be of interest to the company as it is a market that is still expanding in India and international markets in which it is looking to grow its presence in the two-wheeler market.
