Proposed Launch Date and Availability

Although Samsung typically announces its S-series in January, 2026 reports indicate a small delay “in response to product lineup adjustments.” Galaxy Unpacked Event Due for February 25, 2026, probably in San Francisco.

India Date: Pre-orders for product are to be placed immediately after the event, with retail availability in early to mid-March.

Expected Price in India

Escalating prices across high-end components such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and LPDDR5X RAM are likely to impact pricing.

  • 12GB/256GB (Base): ₹1,29,999 to ₹1,34,999 @ launch.
  • Expanded (512GB/1TB): Possible ₹1,59,999.

Note: A couple of leaks point to a ₹10,000–₹15,000 increase in the price compared to the S25 Ultra due to 2nm/3nm chipset architecture.

Slimmer and Smarter: Design & Display

  • Design: The S26 Ultra has been rumored to be even slimmer now, down from 8.2mm to 7.9mm. Samsung may also move away from the naming called "Titanium" and use a newly named, high-grade alloy that enhances heat dissipation.
  • Display: A giant 6.9 inch M14 OLED panel. That new generation is said to be 20%–30% more efficient in terms of power consumption, as much as reaching 3,000 nits maximum peak brightness.

Privacy Feature

A rumored “Flex Magic Pixel” feature could serve as a built-in privacy screen that prevents side-angle snooping.

  • Camera Upgrades: More Refinement, Less Revolution. Samsung is still projected to maintain its successful setup of 200MP, but with some big sensors and processing over-the-top changes.
  • Main Sensor: 200MP (Samsung HP2 or new Sony 1/1.1-inch sensor) with an enhanced aperture for improved low light. Telephoto: A big leap, from 3x lens to 12MP sensor with a larger physical size.
  • Periscope: 50MP lens with 5x optical zoom. New 24MP Mode: A new default shooting mode that offers the detail of 50MP but still has the storage efficiency of 12MP.

Performance and Battery

  • Chipset: The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (for Galaxy) chip. This chip, which may be based on a 2nm process or so-called 2nm, promises not only top-notch power for AI but also great gaming efficiency performance and is expected to be exceptionally power-efficient when we go for high AI capabilities.
  • Battery: Limiting it to a 5,000mAh cell but more endurance as the M14 display is there.
  • 60W Fast Charging: Samsung is reported to finally go beyond 45W, promising 60W wired charging capable of 75% in as little as 30 minutes.
