Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra: 200MP Camera, 7000mAh Battery And Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Specs Leaked

Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation Galaxy S series in 2027 with the Samsung Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus and Galaxy S27 Ultra expected to be the flagship lineup. The Galaxy S27 Ultra, among the three mobile phones, is already getting attention as it has been leaked with its camera system, processor, display and battery.

Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy S27 series yet, so specifications and pricing are leaks and expectations and not confirmed details. But reports and tipster information have begun to give an early view of what Samsung could offer with its next Ultra smartphone.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to continue Samsung’s focus on a large display, advanced photography hardware and high-end performance. If the leaked specifications are correct the phone could also get one of the biggest battery upgrades as part of the Galaxy S Ultra family.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Camera Setup Could Get Major Changes

The camera system will remain one of the key highlights of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung could have a quad-camera setup at the rear based on the leaked images.

Possibly the main camera will be a 200MP sensor with optical image stabilisation. The high-resolution main sensor could allow the phone to capture detailed photographs while also supporting enhanced digital zoom and computational photography features.

The leaked setup is also said to have a 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. A separate 10MP telephoto camera would complete the quad-camera setup. This combination would allow Samsung to vary from standard photography to ultra-wide shots and different levels of optical zoom.

For selfies and video calls, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to have a 12MP front-facing camera. Samsung may also introduce software improvements for portrait photography, low-light images and video recording, but it has not been confirmed yet.

6.9-Inch AMOLED Display And S Pen Support

The Galaxy S27 Ultra will retain the large-screen approach from Samsung’s Ultra models. The phone could have a 6.9-inch AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The high refresh rate will make for smoother scrolling, animations, and games available. Samsung’s premium Ultra models have been more about display quality and its next-generation device is expected to do so with an upgraded display panel and high-resolution display and bright and colour technology.

S Pen support is expected to remain part of that package too. The stylus could still define the Ultra model from the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus, mainly for users who use their smartphone for note-taking, document work, drawing and productivity.

The leaked dimensions suggest the phone could measure about 7.9mm in thickness. If accurate, Samsung would be trying to combine a large display and potentially much larger battery with a relatively slim flagship body.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Could Power The Flagship

Performance is another area where the Galaxy S27 Ultra might be greatly improved. The phone is expected to gain Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset but Samsung's final processor configuration will be different for different markets.

According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the processor could be manufactured using a 2nm process. A smaller manufacturing process can potentially improve performance and power efficiency, but the real-world results will depend on the final chip architecture and Samsung's optimisation.

The reported configuration has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for the base storage configuration. Samsung could offer additional memory and storage configurations but we have not been told about these options.

If the leaked processor and memory specifications come to pass, the Galaxy S27 Ultra would be firmly in the premium flagship category, with performance aimed at demanding gaming, photography, multitasking and AI-based applications.

7000mAh Battery Could Be A Major Upgrade

Probably the most interesting rumor about the Galaxy S27 Ultra is its battery. The smartphone will probably have a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery (which is a considerable increase over previous Galaxy Ultra smartphones).

Silicon-carbon battery technology might allow Samsung to increase battery capacity without making the phone much thicker. A bigger battery and a more efficient processor might increase endurance for users who spend a lot of time streaming videos, gaming, taking photographs or using mobile data.

The phone is also expected to support at least 65W fast charging. If this is true, this would be a considerable improvement in Samsung’s flagship smartphone range charging capabilities.

But battery capacity and charging specifications are unconfirmed. Samsung could change these specifications before the device is produced, so the final specifications may differ from the leaks here.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Expected Launch Date

Samsung's Galaxy S series gets a major annual refresh early in the year and the Galaxy S27 series is expected to follow a similar schedule.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra could launch in early 2027 with the Galaxy S27 or Galaxy S27 Plus, February is currently suggested as a possible release date. Samsung has not announced an official launch date for it, so we are only guessing at the time.

The Indian launch could take place around the same period as the global introduction, although Samsung's final rollout schedule and availability could vary between markets.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Expected Price In India

The Galaxy S27 Ultra will still be a premium smartphone in India. The leaked 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant could be priced between Rs 1,41,999 and Rs 1,46,999.

The final retail price could depend on Samsung's launch strategy, taxes, storage configurations and market conditions. Additional variants with higher storage or RAM could also command a higher price.

For now, buyers should take the price range as an early guess and not an official one. Samsung has not announced the Galaxy S27 Ultra and we expect to know the final price, specifications and availability closer to launch.
