Sony India has released its largest-ever Bravia television with the 115-inch Bravia 9II, a flagship TV with a cinema-like viewing experience. A maximum retail price (MRP) of ₹45,99,900 is available, whereas the best-buy price is ₹28,99,990.
With its 115-inch (292 cm) display, the Bravia 9II is the largest television in Sony's Bravia line in India. The model is targeting higher-end homes, private theatres, premium entertainment spaces, and the most immersive big-screen experience, it says.
True RGB Backlighting for Better Picture Quality
One of the standout features of the new Bravia 9II is Sony's True RGB backlighting technology, which uses independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs instead of conventional LED backlighting.
According to Sony, this technology delivers:
A wider colour gamut
Higher brightness levels
More accurate colour reproduction
Improved contrast and picture depth
The TV is also equipped with Sony's XR processor and Luminance Booster Pro and Smooth Colour Gradation technologies to optimize the image quality across different types of content.
Powerful 12-Speaker Audio System
To go with a huge display, the 115-inch Bravia 9II has a 12-speaker Acoustic Multi-Audio+ system for immersive surround sound.
The audio setup includes:
8 Full-range speakers
2 Tweeters
2 Subwoofers
Sony says the speaker arrangement is designed to convey sound that appears to come directly from all the action happening on the screen in the movie and with a loud soundtrack that is a bit more realistic so that the movie-watching and gaming experience is more enjoyable.
But unlike the smaller Bravia 9II models, the 115-inch version does not include Sony’s Immersive Black Screen Pro technology.
Google TV with Future Gemini AI Support
The television runs on Google TV and gives access to the most popular streaming platforms, live TV channels, and smart home connections through the same interface.
Sony has also confirmed that Google Gemini AI support will be available through a future software update. Once available, users will be able to interact with the TV by voice command and AI-driven search capabilities.
Sony Executive Describes Home Cinema Experience
In her remarks on the launch, Nezu Daisuke, Global Head of Sony's Home Product Business Division, said the new model pushes the boundaries of home entertainment by bringing an unprecedented cinema-like experience into consumers' homes.
