The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has activated the selective edit window for NEET PG 2026 applications from July 31, 2026.
This is only for candidates whose uploaded images were found to have discrepancies during the verification process. Eligible applicants can make the necessary corrections until August 10, 2026.
This is not a general correction window for all candidates. The opportunity is available only to those who have received an official notification from NBEMS that their photograph, signature, or thumb impression does not meet the prescribed guidelines. Candidates who have not been notified are not required to make any changes.
To update the images, applicants need to sign in to the official NBEMS site using their registration information. Once they are there, they can access the image correction section and upload a new photo that is in accordance with the specifications set by the examination authority.
Each uploaded image should be clear and well-sized and has to be in the correct format.
NBEMS has advised candidates to carefully review the image guidelines before uploading new files. Applications are often flagged due to blurred photographs, improper backgrounds, unclear signatures, incorrect image dimensions, or unreadable thumb impressions.
Uploading images that do not meet the prescribed standards may result in the application remaining incomplete.
The selective edit facility is only for image corrections to be used by the users. Other information submitted during registration (for example, personal information, academic qualifications, category details, or preferred examination city) cannot be changed during this time.
So applicants should only replace the images that are found to be defective.
When the correction window closes on August 10, candidates should not wait to submit a correction until the last day. Heavy traffic to the site or internet connectivity problems could affect last-minute submissions. Early corrections can avoid unnecessary complications.
After the deadline, NBEMS will verify all the newly uploaded images. Applications that meet the required standards will be admitted, while applications that do not will be rejected.
Candidates should double-check all their uploads before submitting a new application.
