Republic Day "Blast" in Mass Circuits
While urban multiplexes performed well, the film "ran riot" in Tier-2 and Tier-3 centers. On the whole weekend, as of 26 January, single screens across Hindi belt reported “Housefull” boards for nearly all of the shows. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh had a big show, which the film’s patriotic theme paired with the star power made unmissable for the holiday crowd.
According to trade analysts, Border 2’s Monday set-up has been one of the top-rated “First Mondays” in the Indian film industry, closely comparable to the successful launch of Deol’s own Gadar 2.
Global Footprint and Records
The film is proving not only its domestic potential, but it has also crossed ₹239 crore on its way to global shores within four days.
- Total India Gross: ₹212.20 Cr
- Overseas: ₹27.00 Cr
- Worldwide Total: ₹239.20 Cr
By its fourth day, Border 2 has already outperformed the lifetime collections of many of the most recent high-cost releases, and by Wednesday is on pace to be part of the elite ₹200 crore club (local) too. About the Film A spiritual successor to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 masterwork, Border 2 chronicles the multi-front conflict of the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
