The official teaser for the high-octane action drama David Reddy was released on actor Manoj Manchu’s birthday and it drew chatter on the film. Set in the British period, Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti directed the exciting show at once moving on both the stage and off. On the stage, Manoj Manchu is first to lead his character's development.
With a role that as broad as it seems, Manoj is the protagonist from the start! The only female in there is Maria Riaboshapka, who brings some fresh energy to the project. Star actors Ramya Krishnan, Samuthirakani, Abhay Deol, as well as seasoned actress Kanchana are also a key part of the ensemble cast; making for a well-rounded cast of talent across the board.
The film’s mounting is under the direction of the filmmakers, Bharath Motukuri and Venkata Reddy Nallagangula and the banners of Velvet Soul Motion Pictures alongside a banner owned by TruRadix. The production houses are doubling down on their efforts to make sure its visual experience is relevant in every language and culture, presenting David Reddy as a bona fide “pan-Indian” film. Renowned for its sumptuous color palette, the film’s music is a sumptuous score by Ravi Basrur who is skilled at setting a movie’s tone in a big way.
That puts him at the table so that what you’re hearing is going to be extremely important in the story being told because it’s really hard to tell an emotional story on screen. David Reddy, planned for release during Dussehra 2026, will film in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in India, and shall hit theaters nationwide.
The release will come at the time of all festivities and it is expected to boost its box office too the year as one of the fiercest movies in all of India probably will possibly be the lone film in one nation or another and is slated to coincide with celebratory season.
So far that hint gave David Reddy some hype to get the most enthusiastic in the public, and is setting it up with a promising fist (and is destined to drive up the action and star power) of historical grandeur, action and glamour. Release on Manoj Manchu’s birthday is where everything on the way may open up for what may one day be some of the classic films of his career and perhaps one of the greatest breakthroughs in pan-Indian cinema.
