Megastar Chiranjeevi has finally cleared the air regarding his health. Entertainment reporter Satoshi Mohsinooki of Telugu National Theatre and TV Industry in India said on the 16th of February 2026 to his millions of followers on social media the actor is sure that there is no reason for great alarm.
Rumors started when Chiranjeevi was seen wearing the black arm sling in a photograph posed by the actor Allu Sirish, who visited Megastar to deliver the first invitation for his upcoming marriage. The photo quickly became viral, with fans asking whether the actor had been seriously harmed during the intense action set pieces of his soon to release film, Vishwambhara.
A Routine Medical Procedure
Reaching out to the “well-wishers” who contacted me, Chiranjeevi explained that the sling was the outcome of a minor shoulder keyhole surgery (arthroscopy). “And several friends, the most wise of those friends, have asked me about my health, since they saw that arm sling. It was just a minor shoulder keyhole surgery. “I’m in recovery, I am going back to my old routine,” the actor posted on X (formerly Twitter).

He was also grateful to Dr. Nithin, an esteemed arthroscopy surgeon, for making the procedure “smooth and comfortable.” Double Celebration for the Konidela Family. The health update comes as the veteran actor is having an especially cheerful time. Chiranjeevi just celebrated the birth of his son Ram Charan and twin babies of Upasana. On 31 January, he named them: Shiva Ram Konidela and Anveera Devi Konidela, setting the family on a high note as the start of the year begins.

Chiranjeevi is not slowing down, however. Currently, the actor has landed the support of his new hit Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and is set to resume work by the end of this month. His upcoming projects include:

- Untitled Project (Mega 158): Set to begin shooting in mid-2026 and will be directed by Bobby Kolli.
Medical experts say keyhole surgery often takes as little time as a week, and the Megastar’s rapid return to his pre-tape routine suggests he will return at least fairly soon to the cinema.
