The cult horror film Tumbbad is finally getting its much-awaited sequel. Production of Tumbbad 2 started with a traditional muhurat ceremony in Mumbai, which marks the start of a project that promises to be bigger and darker than the original. So many fans of the 2018 movie have been waiting for this moment, especially after the film’s re-release in 2024 brought back interest and desire for more.
A haunting motion poster accompanied the announcement. The poster teased the return of the creepy goddess statue which haunted audiences in the first film and also the character of Vinayak Rao played once again by Sohum Shah.
