And it caused people in Tokyo to feel frightened, as a woman was fatally assaulted in a raid at the Pokémon store after two people had been killed last week, and so many Tokyo shoppers and police on a busy commercial town felt the one with a heavy level of safety problems (more than 30,000).
Details came just after the victim was found at the store that is themed for the worldwide popular franchise Pokémon, the local newspaper reported. No police officers tried to apprehend him or her but they took off and ran away.
But now, in a disturbingly sad turn of events, investigators believe the suspect indeed took his own life. And, for a couple weeks now and investigators are trying to figure out what is in place, no word from the police about whether the suspect and the victim know each other.
Witnesses reported scenes of panic and panic at the scene, and we heard people fleeing the store. Emergency services arrived immediately, but at the scene the victim died.
So, Japanese police take very strict enforcement as a matter of public safety and extremely low levels of crime on one hand and so violent incidents are incredibly unlikely and even worrying for people living in the country. Police officers, too, are warning citizens not to speculate in the midst of crime investigation.
That tragedy revived a longstanding argument over safe safety for those walking around in such sprawling stores, or the streets on which families and children are mostly seen. Police will review surveillance and question witnesses in the next couple of days, it said.
But no official identities of the victim or suspect have recently been revealed due to notification to families.
