The attack was caught on camera and has sparked much concern in the region and calls for tighter control on the stray dog menace.

The child was attacked by a stray dog in the Bagroja HADCO locality. The animal was seen lunging at the child without warning, causing serious injuries. People in nearby areas rushed to the scene to save the child. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors are taking care of the child. The child has serious injuries and is being treated in the clinic.

CCTV footage of the attack has now been posted on social media showing the horror of the attack. The video has generated much reaction from people and people are now angry that local authorities are not doing anything about the stray dog population in the city.

People are afraid for children and elderly people who are generally the most vulnerable to attacks like this, they said.

Local residents claim stray dogs have become a perennial problem in the Bagroja HADCO area, and have been reported to the city authorities in the past. Residents say that despite repeated appeals, there are no preventive measures in place and stray dogs are more prevalent in residential neighborhoods.

Animal attacks involving stray dogs are becoming an issue in several Indian cities. Unregulated breeding, bad waste disposal, and easy access to food are just some of the causes of stray dog population growth, experts say.

Civic institutions are often advised to put on sterilization programs, vaccination campaigns, and good waste disposal to stop it if nothing else and to ensure animal welfare.

Residents are demanding immediate action from municipal authorities following the latest attack. They have urged officials to carry out intensive stray dog control measures, improve surveillance in residential areas, and raise public awareness on safety precautions.

The CCTV footage will then be analyzed and will be used to determine whether more should be done to prevent such incidents in the future. Public safety and humane management of stray animals were also discussed in the wake of the incident.

The tragic situation is still a heart-wrenching one and the emergency is that the stray dog issue is still being addressed, but local residents are hopeful that the authorities will put a quick hold on the situation so that such tragedies will not happen again in the residential area where children often play outside.

The incident has once again brought into focus urban safety and we need to work together to create safer public spaces for everybody, the people of the city, animal welfare groups, and the government.
