The opening of Amrit Udyan is officially declared by the President’s Secretariat at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the annual spring visit. Widely known as the "spirit of Rashtrapati Bhavan," the 15-acre sanctuary is a place open between Feb 3 to March 31, 2026 to the public.
In the upcoming year, there will be more colourful collections of flowers too, including over 100 roses and a wonderful 'carpet' of seasonal tulips for this year’s edition called Udyan Utsav 2026.
Visiting Hours and Key Details
The gardens will function according to a schedule-friendly program to ensure a great experience, such as:
- Public Access: Six days a week (Tuesday- Sunday).
- Timings: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Last Entry: 5:15 PM.
- Weekly Closure: Weekly (for important maintenance) on Monday.
- Holiday Special Closure: The garden will keep closed on March 4, 2026, on account of Holi.

New Attractions for 2026
In addition to standard flower displays, guests this season can visit an innovative new ‘Babbling Brook’, with a meandering stream featuring sculptural spouts and a mirroring pool. The Bal Vatika (Children’s Garden) and the Circular Garden famous for its sunken architecture remain top spots for families.
Easy Commutes: Free Shuttle Connection
Taking into consideration their large footfall (and parking restrictions) in the Lutyens’ zone, the President’s Secretariat presents a visiting-friendly commuting option. Free shuttle buses will be in service every 30 mins from the Central Secretariat Metro Station (Gate No. 4) to Gate No. 35 of the President's Estate.
These buses are easily identifiable with the signage - "Shuttle Service for Amrit Udyan".
How to Book Your Visit
Amrit Udyan remains free to enter after that, but registration is required.
- Online Reservations: Customers are encouraged to book his or her slots at the official hours via this website visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.
- Walk-in Registration: (Self-service registration kiosks are near Gate No. 35).
- Entry Line: Visitors at all times enter and exit at Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, where North Avenue joins Rashtrapati Bhavan.

There are several restrictions in place to ensure security and hygiene. Tourists are welcome to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, small purses and water bottles. Heavy bags, cameras and eatables are strictly prohibited within the garden.
