Barefoot Kindness on Hosur’s Bypass: Humanity Beyond Vehicles

In the bustle of roadwork in the construction zone of the new bypass near Perandapalli, Hosur, Tamil Nadu a moment. An old scooter for him with some wheels and tyres could not reach its full length down the valley. But he’d found the task a little difficult and very laborious for him. What happened next proved true to us that kind is still apparent in life.

The elderly man was behind a Toyota Fortuner with Karnataka registration. The driver, without a second thought, jumped out of his car. He did not even stop to tie up shoes. By himself without his shoes, this guy ran forward to help the struggling man. They pulled the scooter up in the dark slope and there it was safe to continue. The old man (in good spirits and now has great stamina) responded with gratitude and relief.

Those simple acts of humanity really stood out in a world where people get everything out the door in a hurry. The driver of the Fortuner showed what compassion really is. It was a little more planning at this moment and then action on that time when we need someone to care.

Truly, so few of these are going on in the fast‑paced world. It’s one thing when people pass by too, not to know what’s going on and what is happening to me. But here was a man of God who left that comfort zone absolutely barefoot just so people could walk that little way and ease someone else’s load if there was nobody else who would rather.

The sight that seemed to wash all over them really felt like it. For the elderly man, at least it was more than physical help that was emotional support and proof that strangers are willing to help. People at the distance watched this happen and saw humanity and it was another moment of empathy.

Manages are good examples of the necessity of community spirit like this. There are roads and bypasses always tense and angry as cars pour into them. But waiting when someone stops to help creates an instantly good feeling, that happens when something stops moving through town and is safe to do with the help.

Such acts also speak volumes about the principles that underlie life in general beyond wealth and status. The driver of a luxury SUV didn’t hesitate to help a man with an old scooter. In that moment they are equal, at strength one having a need for their muscles, the other his or her.

The selfless act near Perandapalli bypass is a story worth remembering. This incident proves it as well and that you can do this when you do not expect anything. Can God bless the barefoot stranger who jumped out of his Toyota Fortuner to help a decrepit old man. His compassion is the strongest reminder that our species is still here on the road.
