Bengaluru Delivery Agent Assaults Customer in Koramangala, Victim Suffers Broken Nose

A delivery agent allegedly assaulted a customer in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area, leaving the victim with a broken nose and requiring medical treatment. The incident occurred in Koramangala 8th Block, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation.

According to police sources, the victim, identified as Paul Vidayathil, had placed an order through the Blinkit delivery app for a few items. At the time of delivery, Paul was reportedly at his residence on the second floor of an apartment building in Koramangala.

The delivery agent, identified as Joseph, arrived at the location but was heading toward the fourth floor of the building. Paul then called the delivery agent and asked him to come to the second floor to complete the delivery.

During the interaction, a verbal argument reportedly broke out between the two, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Police said that Joseph allegedly punched Paul in the face, causing severe injury.

As a result of the assault, Paul suffered a fractured nasal bone. Due to the seriousness of the injury, he reportedly traveled to Kerala for surgery and further medical treatment.

Following the incident, a complaint was filed at the Koramangala Police Station, accusing the delivery agent of assault. Based on the complaint, police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Joseph and launched an investigation into the case.

Authorities are currently examining the circumstances that led to the confrontation and are likely to record statements from both parties as part of the inquiry.

The incident has sparked concerns about safety during delivery interactions, highlighting the importance of maintaining professionalism and calm communication during service transactions. Police officials stated that appropriate legal action will be taken after reviewing all evidence related to the case.
