A private firm owner of Bengaluru has been accused of cheating several women regarding relationship title through marriage. Ramanji runs Surya Management Services. The company provides housekeeping and security guards within Bengaluru.
A complaint was also submitted at Parappana Agrahara Police station accusing him of lying about at least five women. It was just another case of a bad man luring them into marriage, but taking advantage physically and emotionally to have them come under his power of manipulation, one of the victims says.
It has been observed that Ramanji particularly targeted vulnerable women, including widows, divorced people and financial hardworking people. He got their trust by choosing them and by asserting that when a relationship begins, the people he knew have been physically interacting with them.
As victims say he had taken the trust gained by them on him and wanted money and gold to run (personal emergencies and business needs). In that case, he collected huge sums of cash and other property (cash) and then distanced himself and cut our line of communication.
Ramanji continued to have many of these long-term relationships although they were all unaware of one another on a daily basis, police sources say. The women only realized then that they had been deceived or not after watching the patterns again and again at his hand or after he stopped answering their messages or phone call and would not even call when their phones went to the front line.
The accused is the manager of a company with over 60 staff members who may be working hard to represent to his bosses as in the past and as in the future," prosecutor John H. Gaffey wrote yesterday.
Therefore, police have begun to undertake an investigation following the complaint to investigate and search for evidence on financial transactions, communication records and witness accounts, among others, it said. There’s also an official inquiry into if more women might have been targeted this way.
The case has raised the concerns of exploitation of vulnerable people under the guise of marriage. Professional advice for many is a point of careful and open and transparent personal relationships especially in relationships regarding financial transfers.
Law enforcement officials have said that other potential victims have been urged to come forward and describe similar experiences and the charge against the accused will proceed to trial.
There is one example to underscore vigilance and a need to check personal and financial claims with police before implementing any formal engagement.
