Bengaluru: A video posted on social media by a Bengaluru resident has created a lot of discussion about the use of abusive language when he alleged that police personnel used abusive language when he came to them for help after an assault in the JP Nagar Police Station limits.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday, Dileep said, outside a pub in JP Nagar late at night in the city of JP Nagar.

Dileep said a group of youths assaulted him during an argument and damaged his mobile phone. After the incident, he put in a call to the 112 emergency helpline for immediate police assistance.
Allegations Against Police
In the video posted online, Dileep claimed that when a Hoysala patrol vehicle arrived at the spot, the officers did not first inquire about the incident and his condition.
He also claimed that when he asked the officers about this, they asked him to submit a written complaint and used abusive language during the interaction.
The authenticity of these allegations has not been independently verified, and the claims are based on Dileep's account shared on social media.
Video Goes Viral
After the incident, Dileep recorded a video narrating his experience and tagged Bengaluru Police on social media while looking for any action.
As a result, the video went viral, and many users expressed concern over the allegations and called for an impartial inquiry. Some social media users criticized the alleged conduct of the officers, and others asked the authorities to investigate before making conclusions.
Police Yet to Respond
Until now, Bengaluru police haven’t stated the allegations or said whether an internal investigation has been launched.
If a complaint has been made, police are to investigate the circumstances of the incident, including CCTV footage, emergency call records, and statements of all involved.
