The power cuts, primarily aimed at ensuring system reliability and safety (including transformer work and line clearance), will occur at various times throughout the day.

Power Cut Schedule and Affected Areas (December 7, 2025)

The power supply is expected to be disrupted predominantly between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, though timings may vary slightly by locality. The maintenance work will impact substations and feeder lines serving the following key areas:

1. South Zone

  • Maintenance Work: Transformer servicing and cable replacement.
  • Affected Areas: Portions of Jayanagar 4th, 5th, and 9th Blocks, BTM Layout 1st Stage (select areas), JP Nagar 3rd Phase, parts of Dollar Colony, and surrounding feeder lines serving the Bannerghatta Road stretch.

2. East Zone

  • Maintenance Work: Tree trimming and high-tension line stringing.
  • Affected Areas: Areas linked to the Indiranagar and Whitefield substations, including segments of Old Airport Road, parts of Murugeshpalya, HAL 2nd Stage, Varthur main road, and nearby residential layouts.

3. North Zone

  • Maintenance Work: New feeder integration and annual maintenance.
  • Affected Areas: Yelahanka New Town sectors (particularly 4th and 6th phases), Vidyaranyapura main road, areas near Nagenahalli and Kogilu Cross, impacting localities fed by the Vidyaranyapura sub-station.

4. West Zone

  • Maintenance Work: Substation equipment servicing.
  • Affected Areas: Specific streets in Rajajinagar (3rd and 4th Blocks), parts of Vijayanagar, localities around Magadi Road, and certain areas connected to the Chord Road network.
