The Incident: An Unprovoked Attack

The incident took place on December 14, 2025, when Deepika Jain had visited her brother’s house along with her five-year-old son, Neev Jain.

According to witnesses and the CCTV footage:

  • Deepika and her son were playing a game of shuttle badminton on the street outside the house.
  • Little Neev was standing quietly on the side of the road, watching the game intently.
  • Suddenly, a man (the accused) opened his house gate and stepped onto the road.
  • Without any provocation or warning, the man approached the boy from behind and viciously kicked him, sending the child flying onto the hard pavement.

The Victim’s Injuries

The impact of the fall was severe. Deepika Jain immediately rushed to pick up her son, who was crying in pain. The young boy sustained:

  • Injuries to his eyes and eyebrows.
  • Multiple bruises and abrasions on his arms and legs.

When Deepika confronted the man, questioning why he had attacked a small child who was simply standing there, the accused showed no remorse and fled the spot immediately.

Police Action and Public Outrage

Local residents who witnessed the act expressed deep anger at the man’s "inhumane" behavior. Following the incident, Deepika Jain filed a formal complaint at the Banashankari Police Station.

The police have registered an FIR based on her statement. They are currently investigating the motive behind the attack and are on the lookout for the accused, whose identity is being verified through local records and the clear CCTV footage available.

This case has once again raised concerns about the safety of children in residential neighborhoods and the growing trend of unprovoked aggression in urban spaces.
