The traffic restrictions are primarily in place for the Golden Jubilee Function of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), organized by the Karnataka State Women and Child Development Department.

  • Venue: Krishna Vihara Gate No. 1, Palace Grounds.
  • Time: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Event duration).
  • Expected Crowd: An estimated 40,000 attendees and nearly 1,000 vehicles are anticipated, leading to significant pressure on the surrounding road network.

The BTP forecasts severe bottlenecks in the following areas, and commuters are advised to avoid them where possible:

  • Ballari Road (especially near Mehkri Circle).

From Airport to City Center (Option 1) Travel via Hebbal, take a left at Nagawara Junction, and proceed via Bamboo Bazaar and Queens Road.
From Airport to City Center (Option 2) Travel via Hebbal Ring Road, Kuvempu Circle, Gorgunte Palya Junction, and take a left onto Dr. Rajkumar Road.
Yeshwanthpur to Airport Use Mathikere Road, turn right at BEL Circle, and continue via the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
Yeshwanthpur to Central Bengaluru Use Dr. Rajkumar Road to enter the central areas.

Heavy Vehicle and Parking Restrictions

  • Heavy Vehicles: Movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted from Hebbal Junction towards Ballari Road; they must use the Outer Ring Road (ORR). Similar restrictions apply near Old High Grounds Police Station Junction.
